Domestic violence is a serious crime, and spreading awareness is essential for reducing abuse and connecting victims with resources. No one, not even those you love or live with, has the right to harm you physically or mentally. Knowing your rights and options is the first step to ending abuse. Pasco Sheriff’s Office provides a list of domestic violence resources and steps to establish a safety plan on our website, PascoSheriff.com. This site also lists signs of abuse and domestic violence safety, such as safety before and during an explosive incident and safety when you are preparing to leave.
Remember, there is no excuse for abuse. Please reach out if you need help.
Amongst the many law enforcement personnel who walk through a crime scene is a specialized group of people who find truth through science: our forensic investigators. Assisting deputies on various calls, including burglaries, overdoses, shootings and homicides, those who work in the field of forensics provide valuable skills to help solve crimes and bring closure to families. Pasco Sheriff’s Office is pleased to highlight our forensic services section and our agency’s different forensic science entities. Click here to learn more!
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office recently partnered with our community to help make a difference for a Pasco County student. This young citizen recently lost his only means of transportation to school when his bicycle collided with a vehicle. Thankfully, the young person was uninjured, but his bicycle was too damaged to repair. PSO members worked with community partners to get the student a new bike and helmet so he could continue traveling to school safely.
