Pasco Sheriff’s Office’s motto is “We Fight As One,” and no one embodies that saying more than our volunteers! With April being National Volunteer Month, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the men and women who selflessly dedicate their time to our agency. Their efforts significantly contribute to PSO’s ability to make a positive impact in our community.
PSO volunteers assist with a variety of tasks across more than a dozen units, including search and rescue operations, traffic control, and administrative support. No matter the ask, they consistently lend a helping hand, which goes a long way in ensuring our operations run smoothly and our community remains safe.
If you’re looking for volunteer opportunities that make a meaningful difference, join PSO! To our current volunteers, thank you for your service. You are a testament to the power of teamwork and what we can accomplish by working together.
Learn About PSO’s Autism Awareness Cards
April is Autism Awareness Month, and as such, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office is sharing a valuable resource we offer to assist those with autism during interactions with law enforcement. PSO’s Autism Awareness Cards contain essential information, such as name, birthdate, address, emergency contact information and hooks or triggers for emergency personnel to be aware of during their interactions. Emergencies can be stressful for everyone; these cards are a resourceful tool for smoothing communication during intense situations. To receive an Autism Awareness Card, contact PSOcares@PascoSheriff.org. Citizens can also voluntarily send information to this email to keep on file in the event of an emergency.

Pasco Sheriff’s Office joined members of our community for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics last week! Hosted once again at Tampa Premium Outlets, the event brought together amazing athletes from across the county, as well as the Tampa Bay Lightning, BayCare and Main Event. Events such as these bring so many together for a meaningful cause, truly embodying the spirit of PSO’s motto, “We Fight As One,” to make our county a better place for all. Thank you to Tampa Premium Outlets for being an incredible host, and congrats to all Special Olympics athletes!
