School Alert: River Ridge High School

Pasco Sheriff’s Office arrested a 17-year-old former River Ridge High School student today for fabricating an email threat against the school. The student reported the email to dispatch, but the investigation revealed that the threats originated from the same student. The student was arrested for fabricating evidence, making a false report to law enforcement and unlawfully using a two-way communication device. There is currently no safety threat to the school.

PSO urges parents and guardians to discuss with their students the consequences of making threats, even those made as a joke, and how to report these threats.  If you see or hear of a threat, report it immediately. You can submit tips to the Pasco Sheriff’s Crime Tips Line at 1-800-706-2488 or online at pascosheriff.com/tips.
