Online Citizen Police Report Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)


If your incident is related to a Traffic Crash or Tax Fraud, it may not be reported through this system. Please see below for the correct agency contact information.

To file a non-emergency online report, please answer the following questions:

If your answers meet the accepted criteria, you are ready to file your report online. (Your online report will be rejected if the above criteria are not met). Please turn off any pop-up blocking software before filing the report.

Upon completion of this report process, you will:

  • See the statement: "Your Citizens Report has been Completed and Sent."
  • Be provided a "confirmation" number.
  • Receive a confirmation email, once the report is approved.
  • To obtain a copy of your official report you need to contact records at Records@pascosheriff.org.

You may need to add "pascosheriff.org" to your contact list to ensure any notifications are not rejected by your email provider as "spam" or junk email.

Please Note:

  • All cases filed using the Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, you may be contacted if further investigation is needed.
  • You will be notified by email if your case is approved or rejected.
  • Once the citizens report is approved, you will be emailed a permanent case number.
  • There may be a delay of up to 72 hours before the Pasco Sheriff's Office responds with a reply, (Online reports are reviewed during business hours).

(The Sheriff’s Office does not have jurisdiction over the investigation of federal tax fraud. Any investigation will be conducted at the discretion of the IRS.)
