Community Alert: Shooting Of A Person, Bayonet Point
Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a shooting of a person that occurred in the Bridle Path Row area of Bayonet Point. Preliminary information indicates an altercation between known parties occurred, and an adult woman was shot by an adult man; the adult man also sustained injuries. Prior to law enforcement arrival, the victim left the residence and transported herself for medical attention. Upon arrival, deputies approached the residence and, after several unsuccessful attempts at verbal communication, entered the residence, where the suspect was ultimately detained. The suspect was transported for medical attention. This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
