Community Alert: Fleeing to Elude, Port Richey
Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies have detained a suspect for fleeing to elude and other charges on Suncoast Parkway near Ehrlich Rd. in Tampa. On July 15, around 8:20 a.m., deputies responded to a stabbing of an adult man in the Gordon Dr. area of Port Richey. Around 8:30 a.m., we responded to a carjacking in the Dauvin Ct. area of Port Richey, which was believed to be linked to the same suspect. The suspect stole a woman’s car and drove away. A pursuit was initiated and led into Hillsborough County. The suspect eventually crashed the vehicle on Suncoast Parkway near Ehrlich Rd. in Tampa. The suspect is in custody, and it has been confirmed that the suspect is involved in both cases. The victim who was stabbed has been transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional victims of the pursuit have not reported injuries. This is an isolated incident, and there is no public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further information is available.
