
Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating an aggravated battery that occurred in the Star Island Dr. area of Holiday on July 3, around 11:30 p.m. Preliminary information indicates an argument between an adult man and an adult woman, who are known to each other, escalated, and the adult man struck the adult woman. The victim transported herself for medical treatment with non-life-threatening injuries prior to law enforcement arrival. Upon arrival, PSO deputies attempted to make verbal contact outside the subject’s residence. After several failed attempts at verbal contact over the course of several hours, a gunshot was heard within the subject’s residence. Deputies attempted verbal contact several more times, but were met with negative results. Deputies entered the residence, and the subject was located deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. No foul play is suspected. This is an isolated incident, and there is no public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
