Pasco Sheriff's Office Employment Hiring Prerequisites


Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

Must successfully complete the T.A.B.E. (Test of Adult Basic Education) written test. The T.A.B.E. test will be waived for:

     1. Florida Certified Law Enforcement and Detention Deputy Applicants.
     2. Civilian applicants with an Associates degree or higher from an A.C.E. accredited college or university.

Successfully pass background investigation, to include but not limited to: credit check, driving check, criminal check, previous employment check, reference checks.
2.
Interview with appropriate Staff personnel.
3.
Typing test (specified positions only)
4.
Must meet the Agency approved Drug Policy.
5.
Drug Screen
6.
Polygraph (specified positions only)
7.
Psychological Written Test and Interview (specified positions only)
8.
Physical Examination, position specific
