Pasco Sheriff's Office Employment Hiring Prerequisites
| Must be a United States citizen. | |
| Must be at least 19 years of age. | |
| Must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). | |
Must be Florida state certified Law Enforcement officer (completed a Florida state Police Academy or Equivalency of Training Program.)

| Must have a valid Florida Drivers License. |
Screening Procedures
If chosen for processing you will be required to submit to the following screening procedures. If you are not willing to submit to these procedures please do not submit an application.
| 1. | Successfully pass the Background Investigation, which includes but is not limited to: credit check, driving check, criminal check, previous employment check, reference checks. |
| 2. | Interview with appropriate Staff personnel |
| 3. | Typing test (specified positions only) |
| 4. | Meet Agency approved Drug and Tobacco Policy |
| 5. | Drug Screen |
| 6. | Polygraph (specified positions only). |
| 7. | Psychological Written Test and Interview (specified positions only). |
| 8. | Must submit to a complete physical examination including drug screen, hearing, vision, e.k.g. and T.B. test.. |
| 9. | Must successfully complete Agency firearms qualification standard. |
| 10. | Must successfully complete an oral review board and meet eligibility score (Military Preference Given). |
